Summer Intern Program

Accepting two interns for Summer 2025.

Interns will have housing on our beautiful farm. Interns will take on teaching, riding, running camps, IEA coordination, running horse shows, running tack store, working with young horses, barn management duties, marketing sales horses, working with outside trainers on showings, traveling and showing opportunities to rated horse shows, working with veterinarians and farriers and much more.

Interns will have travel covered and expenses paid for while on farm and traveling. They will be expected to join on advanced lessons and continue to grow their riding through the summer. While this internship is hard work we also have a very strong community and family at Burkwood. We enjoy afternoons off at the lake or floating the river, dinners out at restaurants on the sound. Interns will be given days off the enjoy and explore the PNW.
